We are exploring the potential to develop Invercassley Wind Farm, located approximately 5km northwest of Rosehall, Sutherland.
Type | Wind |

Status | Development |
No. of turbines | 22 |
Installed capacity | 158 MW |
Battery storage | 30 MW |
We anticipate that we will submit an application to the Scottish Government in late 2025. The proposals, which are at a very early stage, will be the subject of extensive consultation with the local community. The first event is scheduled to take place in February 2025, where residents will be able to meet the Fred. Olsen Renewables team and view visual representations to see how the project could look from various viewpoints around the area. The team will also be on hand to answer questions and gather feedback on the plans.
Invercassley Wind Farm will consist of up to 22 turbines up to 230m high and 30MW of battery storage. The plans would generate over 158MW of green energy and create a community benefit fund of more than £25m (index linked) during the lifetime of the project.
